THE ENGLISH BOBBY

In 1996 I was selected by the AOP to exhibit among nine other budding photographers in London at the association gallery. It was my first exhibition. I was very honored that I was selected and chosen as one of the upcoming photographers in London as I was still assisting David Bailey at the time and didn’t have much published work.

The English Bobby was inspired by the Turbans the Metropolitan Police in Britain issue for their Sikh officers. I saw one of them by chance  in Southall. I collaborated with the Met. Police Press office to show the “faces” of the English Bobbie in the late 90’s. Kodak sponsored my show and the great Danny Pope of Matchless Prints printed the Exhibition.
